hi – LOVE Dorie & her new book! Tonight I’m baking “World Peace Cookies” for the first time for a bunch of graduating seniors. I’m not anticipating anything too tricky, but I keep getting stuck on the “fleur de sel” . . . . would it be a travesty to use regular salt?

we have a joke here that when a certain kid comes around and acts like a jerk, we say “Nobody likes a salty kookie!”

…we now have to think of something different.

What a happy coincidence– these just came out of my oven this morning. I fashioned my log into a heart-shape for seasonal festivity. My husband passionately adores these cookies.
