Yea. totally. I always read cookbooks. I like to unlock the value of food and elevate the quality function of cereal.

In fact, I wrote one just a little while ago about different ways to make cold cereal. Pouring the milk is key. Some people like to pour it from 5 inches over the bowl. My book recommends the counter intuitive 4.5 inches about the bowl. This makes the milk's texture more soothing. It also removes all the lactose so you don't have to take lactaid pills.

Rugelach is not only one my favorite my cookies in the world, but I grew up eating them on quite a regular basis, due to both of my grandmother's being rugelach phenoms, or shall I say 'Rock Stars'?

They taught me everything they could, and left me with recipes I will cherish forever.

Now, I use those recipes to make unique flavored rugelach, along with the basic flavors, in all shapes and sizes, and no filling(s) are ever out of the question!

Seeing your blog and incredible photos, has made me want to start my annual rugelach baking 'fest' sooner than usual! However, I'm holding out until I learn how to use my new Canon. Although not a dSLR, I'm hoping it gives me photos even a quarter as beautiful as yours.

Thanks for providing food bloggers, chefs, and foodies, all over the world and net, with such a beautiful site, with great recipes and out of this world photography!

Hey everyone and thanks for the lovely comments/compliments!
Kevin, a stick of butter is a quarter of 1 pound. Patricia, I think dried cranberries would be delightful! I think for my next batch I'm going to throw in some golden raisins and dried currants, which I suspect will be marvelous.

That rugelach looks wonderful! I tried making some a while back and it tasted delicious, but was not quite as photogenic, to put it nicely. Very nice work!

oh. yeah.
i'm a picture-fiend too, and to be honest, i first just took about five minutes to drool over your stellar pictures. then i went back and read the entertaining commentary, and i can officially deem this a stellar post. i've never had a craving for rugelach as much as i do right now. :)

Rugelach is my favorite. MDC sent me the link right before bed, so now I know what I can dream about. Your pictures are superb; quite mouthwatering.

Now I need to dream of a plan to get someone to bake them for me.
