Yay, for you! You did it, you go girl! I’ve been wanting to try making some myself as I’ve never tasted one but then I wake up to reality as I’m really not there yet! Soon I hope!

Yeehaw! Look at these perfectly shaped macarons. I don’t know what is going on with the link. I updated the one on my sidebar after going to the home site and looking at the archives. I need to double check it’s the right one then.

Here’s a link to Laduree’s macaron recipe, translated by a kind reader on epicurious. Looks ingredient-kosher to me, though may be worth asking about gelatin used in individual flavorings and/or fillings. Otherwise, give it a go — they were delicious! Also, may be worth checking chow.com and other sites for good recommendations of kosher bakeries, but I know that there are a couple in the Marais (a heavily Jewish area) that are absolutely to die for, especially their north-African delicacies. Eat a couple for me!

Congratulations on your macaron success! I’m still too leery of the work involved to attempt my own, but will be in Paris soon, and am wondering- do you keep kosher? I’d love to taste some of Laudree’s macarons but always figured they had all kinds of odd ingredients. If you say that they’re kosher by ingredient I’ll probably give them a go…
